A lifelong resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Mrs. O’Neill was educated in the city’s public school system before attending Averett Junior College and the Richmond Professional Institute. In her professional career, she established a highly successful footprint in regional corporate governance and real estate development, serving since 2007 as the President of Cullen Inc., a premier property management and real estate development company based locally. On the FSO Board, she leverages her executive planning acumen and financial stewardship to reinforce the orchestra’s long-term operational health, structural fundraising campaigns, and community engagement initiatives.
Beyond her primary governance role, Mrs. O’Neill is widely regarded as one of the area’s most impactful cultural champions, specifically dedicating her philanthropy to expanding classical music access for younger generations. She acts as a principal benefactor for the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra, personally underwriting and presenting major initiatives including the FSO’s “Lolli-Pops” Concerts for Kids series, which features specialized youth instrument petting zoos and family-friendly thematic repertoire. Her multi-decade history of civic stewardship extends across several major regional institutions, including serving as a Vestry member and Finance Committee coordinator for St. George’s Episcopal Church, where she co-chaired the successful targeted organ campaign.
