October Classical Masterworks Soloist

Timothy Chooi is recognized as one of the most compelling violinists of his generation. Winner of the 2018 Indianapolis International Violin Competition, he performs on a rare Stradivarius violin — a masterpiece of the luthier's art, perfectly suited to the towering demands of Tchaikovsky's legendary Violin Concerto. His performances have taken him to major concert halls worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall.

February Rising Stars Series Soloist

George Li is one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation. Silver medalist of the 2015 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition and a laureate of the Van Cliburn Competition, he has performed with the world's leading orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Munich Philharmonic, and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic. A graduate of Harvard University and the New England Conservatory, he brings breathtaking virtuosity and deep musicality to Rachmaninoff's towering Piano Concerto No. 2.

Season Finale Soloists

A stellar quartet of soloists from the Washington National Opera joins members of the renowned WNO Chorus and the Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg for a transcendent season finale.
