Full Biography
A native of Kingsville, Texas, bassoonist Walter D. Wynn, III received his education from Baylor University (BM) and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (MM and DMA). His teachers include Otto Eifert, E. Sanford Berry, Leonard Sharrow, Dan Welcher, and Dan Phipps. This is his sixth season as Principal Bassoonist with the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Wynn currently serves as Principal Bassoonist with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Orchestra, Accord Symphony Orchestra, and Washington Sinfonietta.
He presently holds the position of Director, Multifamily Asset Management and Counterparty Oversight Division, Office of Asset Management, US Department of HUD, Washington, DC.
