William “Bill” Boldon brings a distinguished corporate portfolio and vast organizational leadership to the local boards and cultural initiatives of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He built a premier, 31-year professional career with McKinsey & Company, an international top-tier management consulting firm specializing in institutional strategy, complex organization, and macro operations. Operating out of New York, he rose to the level of Senior Administrative Partner before retiring from active corporate consulting to dedicate his time toward regional environmental preservation, medical governance, and civic advancement.
His academic foundations include a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Denver, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Management from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Beyond his private sector success, Mr. Boldon is highly regarded for his institutional stewardship across major regional platforms. He joined the Board of Trustees for Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) in 2011 and sequentially served as the Chairman of the Board from 2018 through 2020, guiding the healthcare system’s executive and compensation strategies during critical operational expansions. In addition to his leadership on the main board, he lent his financial expertise to the region as a Trustee of the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation Board and as a Director for the Mary Washington Healthcare Alliance.
His passion for sustainability and conservation is reflected in his 23-year tenure as a Board Member and State Treasurer for the Virginia State Board of The Nature Conservancy. Through his diverse trustee roles, Mr. Boldon continues to utilize his extensive planning acumen, fiscal governance experience, and dedication to community development to enrich structural and cultural initiatives throughout the central Virginia community.
