Robert (Rob) Billingsley serves on the Board of Directors for the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra, bringing decades of distinguished service in law, financial services and civic leadership to the organization’s governance. As a long-time resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Rob is deeply committed to enriching the cultural, artistic, and educational fabric of the regional community.
Billingsley is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and an honors graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of The University of Richmond Law Review. Following a one-year clerkship with a federal district court judge, Billingsley practiced law in Richmond for 15 years with McGuireWoods and Hirschler Fleischer before moving to Fredericksburg, where he built a successful 25-year practice as a Wealth Management Advisor, advising families and corporations on building multi-generational wealth and long-term stewardship.
Along with his wife, Anna, he established The Billingsley Family Fund under the stewardship of The Community Foundation for the Rappahannock River Region. This endowment is structurally designed to perpetuate strategic grants benefiting localized ecclesiastical bodies, academic institutions, and human services organizations across the area. In addition to his advocacy for the performing arts, Billingsley is an active member of the Rappahannock Rotary Club and Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, where he serves on the finance committee and is chair of the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Foundation.
As a trustee of the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra, Billingsley aligns his extensive corporate governance experience with a lifelong appreciation for the symphonic repertoire, ensuring the orchestra maintains robust fiscal health and expansive community access.
